Valtellina track

One of the most attractive tracks in the area is the one that winds at 1800m in the Santa Caterina area. It consists of several loops (5 or 10 km) in the Stelvio National Park, with uphill and downhill sections that will test your skills. The competitive track has been the scene of international competitions and numerous World Cup events.

The La Fonte centre, located at the start of the Valtellina slope, is managed directly by the instructors of the Cross-Country Ski School and has changing rooms, showers, a waxing room, clothing and equipment storage, services that make it a real point of reference for all fans of this sport.


  • Centro la Fonte: After a walk, skiing (downhill and cross-country), stopping at 'La Fonte' is a 'must', especially if you want a quick, but well-maintained meal, just a few steps from the ski slopes and changing rooms.
  • Café la Fiamma: Bar with outdoor tables to enjoy the beautiful panorama. Ideal for a break, a snack or an aperitif after a day's skiing.

Alute Runway

In Bormio, cross-country skiing enthusiasts can enjoy a 5-kilometre circuit laid out on the picturesque Alute plain. This route offers long, flat stretches alternating with ups and downs, ideal both for those wishing to approach this discipline for the first time and for skiers in the process of perfecting their skills.


Use of the track is free of charge.

  • BeWhite: a restaurant located at the foot of the gondola that leads directly to the slopes of Bormio 2000. Sushi, Hamburgers, Pinsa Romana are the stars of the menu.
  • Restaurant Nevada: here you can find all traditional Valtellina dishes such as pizzoccheri, local cold cuts, typical Valtellina cheeses and meat dishes with polenta

Purple Runway

The Viola piste runs in Valdidentro at the foot of dense pine forests. Ideal for a day out with the family. The tourist trail is a simple track, consisting of a 10 km loop with ups and downs that reach a maximum altitude difference of about 180 m.
