WALK ON THE PLAIN OF ALUTE IN BORMIO

The Alute walk is truly suitable for everyone.
After crossing the Eden bridge, turn left onto the cycle path that runs alongside the Frodolfo River.
The loop is about 5 km long and completely flat.
Accompanied by the gentle flow of the river, you’ll emerge onto the verdant Alute plain, where lush meadows frame your walk.
The route is also perfect for four-legged friends—
in short, for absolutely everyone!

Elevation gain/loss: +50 m / –50 m

WALK ALONG THE SAN GALLO CYCLE & FOOTPATH IN BORMIO

This trail lets you set off directly on foot from the Hotel.
After crossing the Eden bridge, turn left; a peaceful cycle path leads towards Santa Lucia.
About 10 minutes in, you’ll reach a playground where the kids can enjoy a fun break.
Continuing on, pass beneath the underpass at Santa Lucia, then rejoin the little road skirting the Adda River, where silence and flowing water accompany you to the chapel of San Gallo.
Downstream from the church a path crosses the meadows.
After the golf course you can return to the centre of Bormio.

WALK FROM CALOSIO – OGA (OR VICE VERSA) ABOVE BORMIO

This is a very easy route, perfect for families.
Start at the sports field in Santa Lucia, where there’s convenient parking.
Beside a small fountain, head right up Via Dosso, then on to Presurina (here you can taste water from the same spring as Levissima).
Continuing on a lovely woodland path, you reach Calosio di Fuori with its charming wooden chalets.
From there you pass Calosio di Dentro and arrive at the village of Oga, which offers a splendid view over Bormio.
If you’d like a picnic at altitude, we recommend the area between Presurina and Calosio di Fuori.

Surface: 96 % natural – 4 % asphalt
Duration: 1 h 15 min
Elevation gain/loss: +307 m / –2 m
Best season: March – November

DECAUVILLE WALK NEAR BORMIO

The Decauville trail is truly for everyone: a flat walk perfect for young and old alike!
Once you reach Arnoga in Valdidentro, you can park next to the little church.
From here a gentle dirt road heads towards Cancano.
Along the way you’ll admire alpine pastures and spruce forests.
Spectacular views accompany you throughout.
The route is about 12 km long. The return is along the same path.
Length: 12 km
Surface: 75 % natural – 25 % asphalt
Duration: 2–3 h
Elevation gain/loss: +113 m / –42 m
Best season: May – October
