Fun Facts about Artificial Snow

Bormio Ski has invested about €8.5 million in an advanced snow-making system supplied by TechnoAlpin due to climate change and the lack of natural snow.
The system includes 190 fixed guns and 50 mobile ones for a total of 300 snow points, with a production capacity of 1 250 m³ of snow per hour.
This system covers 80 % of Bormio’s slopes, equivalent to 40 km out of 50.
The required water comes from proprietary wells and storage basins, guaranteeing a total of 13 000 m³ of water.
The distribution network allows efficient snow coverage on both race courses and tourist slopes, ensuring a high level of snow during events like World Cup races.

FunSlop: Snow Fun

The fun never ends in Bormio: from the Funslope Valbella, full of new snow attractions, to the Trudi Park, the ideal place for the little ones who want to learn to tackle the mountain on skis. And if you’re a snow acrobat you can’t miss the The Jungle, the new Snowpark in Bormio, where you can show off your skills and wow everyone with your tricks!

Snow Play Park

Bormio hosts a snow fun park you can’t miss: Trudi Park! Immersed in a colourful and fun environment, this playground offers carefree moments with tubing, sledding and inflatables alongside the friendly mascots of the Stelvio National Park.
The park is in a sunny, convenient location right in the centre of Bormio, near the Bormio-Bormio 2000 gondola base.
Trudi Park is the ideal spot for children who have just set foot on the snow and can’t wait to explore the mountain’s wonders.
But it’s not just for kids! Bormio Ski is the first ski area transformed into a snow amusement park for all ages.
In front of Trudi Park you’ll find BeWhite, the après-ski bar where you can relax with something warm while keeping an eye on your children.

The ticket to enter Trudi Park, including tube or sled rental, costs only €9 and is available exclusively at the Scuola Sci Nazionale office, right opposite the park.

Freestyle: Snow Acrobatics

The novelty of the 2024/2025 winter season is the Jungle Snowpark located at 2 055 m in the Bei Laghetti area!
“Fun” and “adrenaline” are the key words of the new snowpark with jibs and kickers that unleash creativity!
There are two lines – beginner and intermediate – to welcome young and seasoned jumpers alike.

Group Snowshoe Hikes

Step away from the hustle of the ski slopes and discover the quiet pleasure of snowshoeing.
This activity offers a peaceful, intimate way to enjoy winter’s beauty – perfect for those seeking a more meditative nature experience.
Walking with snowshoes you’ll have the chance to observe winter flora and fauna up close, with the tranquillity only snow can offer.
At the end of your hike, a delicious lunch awaits in a cosy mountain hut, where you can savour local specialties in a warm, welcoming atmosphere (every Tuesday).

  • €15 for children 6/8–14 if accompanied by 2 adults

Snowshoes with Lunch

• Day: Every Tuesday
• Maximum People per Guide: 15
• Meeting: 10:30 at Caffè la Fiamma, via Forni 8/a, S. Caterina Valfurva
• Duration: About 2 hours
• Return: Around 15:00
• Cost: From €45 per person (snowshoes & poles included). Lunch à la carte EXTRA. Set menus for groups over 10 people.
